Hisunsray is determined to enter into the field of IMS soft client product development after considering the tendency that in 3G era, the operatorsĄŻ core network will be based on IP, China Telecommunication fixed network, mobile network and PC network will be combined and IMS core network will be applied widely. With the main terminal function of communicating, IMS ( IP Multimedia System) soft client products are also integrated with IT feature, forming a unified communication soft client with the functions of on-line, real time communication (instant message, video and application sharing) and quasi-real-time communication.
With this kind of products, the Telecom operators can provide more and better services as well as adequate and efficient communicating applications to the individuals and enterprises. The services of this system mainly include such categories as vioce, data and multimedia conference, etc, which can provide the services of IP phone, White Board, teleconference, IM, application sharing, etc.
Hisunsray named its IMS soft client product MultiCommunicator (MC). In order to launch it into the international business market as soon as possible, Hisunsray has signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Huawei. According to HuaweiĄŻs requirements, Hisunsray will develop the IMS soft client products with the international telecom operatorsĄŻ need, which not only include video call and traditional voice call functions, but also IM functions such as: Presence, Group and Message Service. Some extend functions: Multi media conference, IP Centrex, Application Sharing, White Board, File Transfer, Remote Control are also included. Compliance with open standards, Hisunsray MC could apply to all the standard IMS core network.
Hisunsray MC includes two editions: PC and mobile phone. The mobile phone edition can run under Symbian and Windows Mobile operation systems, Linux will be considered in future. All the editions could be communicated smoothly with telecom operatorsĄŻ IMS core network,either audio and video communication between mobile and mobile, or between mobile and PC. Up to date, Hisunsray MC PC edition already can be applied in business market. The mobile phone edition (both for Symbain and for Windows Mobile) has finished the development of basic functions and is expected to be launched in the business market by the end of October, 2007.
